Barcelona is a city with many faces: the labyrinth of the old town, the wide avenues of the 19th century Eixample and a provincial atmosphere disguised in cosmopolitan big city clothes. Because the city has grown little by little every district looks like a town on its own with a distinctive atmosphere and architecture. You could call it a giant puzzle.
A puzzle that is bordered by two natural frontiers: the Mediterranean and the Collserola hills with the best panoramic views of Barcelona. The hills are home to a beautiful natural park of more than 6500 hectares full of hike and bike paths. A lot of locals are not aware of the wide range of fauna and flora right at their backdoor.

I am living in Barcelona because of its laid-back lifestyle.
Although the city is moving and buzzing a lot day and night, it remains relaxed at the same time.
Barcelona cant be called a typical Spanish city because quite a vast quantity of its inhabitants especially those living in the city centre- comes from all over the world.
In the morning you buy the citys best bread in a trendy Icelandic bakery, for lunch you order a delicious menu at a beautiful Norwegian caf, and later at night you have dinner in a Pakistani, Brazilian,Senegalese, Argentinean, Philippine, Moroccan or German restaurant.
The city also offers many inspiring cultural events any day of the week all year long; and if you prefer to take it easy and relax, you can hang out at the beach or have a walk in the nearby mountains. You can even go skiing in the Pyrenees during the winter months. Barcelona offers a lot to everybody, no matter what cultural background or age, and as the sky is blue most of the year, it gives a great opportunity to explore the city by bike.

I love the multicultural vibration of my neighborhood, the Raval, and the cosy and characteristic ambiance of the Gracia district wit
its narrow and silent streets during the siesta hours.
I love the presence of the sea without which I cannot imagine living here, not forgetting the nearby mountains for hiking and biking.
A big luxury just a few blocks from my house is the Boqueria market where my culinary inspirations are born. As my husband is a professional musician I am also immersed often in Barcelona´s cultural scene.
